I am a mechanical engineer with a passion for materials, electronics and rapid -prototyping. I am happiest when I'm learning, teaching and laughing with a team while sketching out an idea and saying "well what if..."

I believe that to design a thing means to design a process. I try to think of myself as responsible for everyone who touches my product. I do my best to listen and work through every step in making something: how a machinist will fixture a part, how an assembler's hands will fit inside what they're building, how the product nests for shipping and what tools might be in the installer's bag.

When I can, I work to design out steps, remove the possibility of mistakes, relieve frustration, and find ways to make sure everyone building our product feels pride.
